Professional Secrecy & Compliance
Updated: [November 2025]
1. Duty of confidentiality
All professionals within DCA-S, PME Assistance, and DTAX are bound by strict professional secrecy under Belgian and Luxembourg law. Information entrusted by clients is protected against disclosure to third parties, except where legally required or with the client’s explicit consent.
2. Scope
The obligation applies to partners, employees, trainees, subcontractors, and consultants. It covers all media and formats (verbal/written, paper/digital, email/platforms, files and working papers).
3. Anti-Money-Laundering (AML) duties
As regulated professionals, we comply with the Law of 18 September 2017 on the prevention of money-laundering and terrorist financing. This entails:
- Client identification and verification (KYC) before acceptance
- Understanding the nature and purpose of assignments
- Risk-based monitoring during the engagement
- Reporting suspicious transactions to the competent authority (CTIF-CFI)
These duties are legal obligations and coexist with professional secrecy to protect the integrity of the profession and financial system.
4. Internal compliance
We maintain internal AML procedures, staff training, secure retention policies, and contractual safeguards with third parties handling information on our behalf.
5. Contact
Questions on confidentiality or AML compliance can be addressed to administration@dca-s.com.
